Why do mosquitoes bite itch?

People usually get bitten by mosquitoes and when mosquitoes bite, they draw out blood. while drawing blood they inject their saliva. Mosquitoes saliva contains anticoagulant and proteins.

When  this protein present in mosquitoes saliva enter in the body then it trigger body's immune system.
To fight with this foreign protein substance body's immune system releases histamine

(Histamine is a compound that helps white blood cells get to the affected area)

It is histamine what causes itchiness, inflammation, and swelling.

Mosquitoes bite itch more after scratching it. As when we scratch the affected area, It causes skin to become more inflamed. This inflammation causes skin to itch. After scratching again and again skin can break which may cause infection.
One can get immediate relief by applying Aloe Vera, honey, cold tea bag, dilute minced garlic on the bite
